It is not what a man does that determines whether his work is sacred or secular, it is why he does it – A.W. Tozer. I saw this quote while going through a very impactful devotional on the YouVersion Bible app titled Passion: The bright light of glory by Louie Giglio, and I must confess that I thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of that devotional.
Now, just think about that quote again, if it is not what a man does but why he does what he does that determines if what he does is sacred or secular, then it means anything and everything can be either sacred or secular. It means a man can be a pastor and his pastoral assignment can be secular while another man is a businessman, yet his dealings are sacred.
It also means that the fact that you work in a bank, school, hospital, law firm, entrepreneur, whatever doesn’t make what you do any less sacred when compared to your pastor if you’ve got your “why” right. So why do you do what you do? Why are you pursuing that particular kind of life/future?
Matthew 5:16 – Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven[AMP].
If bringing glory to the One who made you is not at the core of your “why”, then you need to make it sacred sacred. God Bless You!

Hey!  Have you been searching for a tool that can help you understand the Bible better? Do you need a devotional that is tailor made for you, one who’s writer seems to have read all about your experiences and then wrote the devotional just to answer the burning questions in your heart? If any of the questions above applies to you, then I have the solution you’ve been searching for, it’s called the “YouVersion” bible app.
Most people actually do have this bible app on their devices, I’m guessing it’s the most popular bible app around, if not in the world. However, many of us do not know that what you have in that Bible app is a treasure chest of spiritual resources because all we do is just open it when we have to, we haven’t really bothered to explore it’s features.
YouVersion is a free Bible  app that is available for all devices, and of all the Bible apps I know, there is none that has as much translations that can be downloaded for free for offline use. This app contains thousands of devotionals tailor made for different needs. With topics ranging from relationship, money, faith, tithe, spiritual growth, sex, addiction, etc. There is hardly any topic you need that you won’t find multiple devotionals to select from, all of which are solidly Bible based. The app even has tools that helps you share on all the major social media platforms, connect with friends and share with them, take notes, bookmark, and even make images from Bible verse that you can then share online. Trust me, this app is cool.
I’ve come to find out that most of us actually desire to grow spiritually, but the issue is that many are not ready to put in the effort required for that growth. Galatians 6:8 – If they plant to satisfy their sinful selves, their sinful selves will bring them ruin. But if they plant to please the Spirit, they will receive eternal life from the Spirit[NCV].
Nothing happens without prayer, so I’d advice you always pray, asking the Holy Spirit to teach whenever you want to read the Bible. As you know, a good material helps you understand your teacher better, and I can tell you this, the YouVersion Bible app is a great material. God Bless You!

Anchor Song: How Great Is Our God

Artist: Chris Tomlin

How would you like to define yourself to the world on your biggest night? Just in case your were too busy to notice, the annual Grammy award, the biggest night for music and artist in the world held just about a week ago and something special happened that night.
Chance the Rapper might not be a name you are familiar with, but that is the name of the guy that beat the big boys to win the album of the year – rap category, and two other awards. The high point, for me, wasn’t the awards he won, but his stage performance. This guy is an independent artist, which means he is not signed to any major record label, he could have used that opportunity of performance on the Grammy stage to “show himself” but he did the one thing most of those people need but run away from, he brought Church to the Grammy.
Deuteronomy 8:17-18 – If you start thinking to yourselves, “I did all this. And all by myself. I’m rich. It’s all mine!”—well, think again. Remember that God , your God, gave you the strength to produce all this wealth so as to confirm the covenant that he promised to your ancestors—as it is today[MSG].
I really can’t tell you what Chance the Rapper has been standing for all his life, but I can you this, on the biggest night o his life, he chose to stand up for God. As he performed the popular “How Great Is Our God” featuring the amazing Kirk Franklin and Tamela Mann, I saw a man trying to show the world who the true light is. So I’d like to ask you again, on your biggest day/night, on that day when all attention would be on you all you’ve achieved, would the world see you or the God in you? God Bless You!

Anchor Song: No Longer Slaves

Artist: Bethel Music

Have you ever seen labels from two different designers on the same dress? Yes, I have. I know some people don’t even know what I’m talking about, but if you attended public primary and secondary schools like I did, then you must have seen a Tommy Hilfiger label and a Nike label sitting on the same dress.
You see, back then, when your uniform gets burnt by an iron or a nail in class makes a hole in your uniform, one of the quickest solutions is to cut off the labels from one of your shirts and use that label to cover that bad spot on the dress. Hence, you will find people who had up to 3 or 4 different labels on their shirt because it’s possible that their parents can’t afford to change that uniform just yet.
You see, whenever you make a mistake and come to God forgiveness, I need you to understand that God doesn’t just patch your sins with the blood of Jesus, i.e God doesn’t just cover your sins with the blood of Jesus. The issue with patching is the fact that every time that patch/cover is seen, there is a reminder of what happened the necessitated the patching.
The problem with most of us is that when we fall short and ask for forgiveness, we let guilty conscience keep us out God’s love, thinking God still remembers how we disappointed Him. But Hebrews 8:12 says – I will be merciful when they fail, and I will erase their sins and wicked acts out of My memory as though they had never existed[VOICE].
The blood of Jesus blots out sin whenever you ask God for forgiveness, and when you come before God, He doesn’t even remember you ever sinned because there is no patch of sin on you, not even a trace. Even when you feel dirty, the most effective “soap” is in the presence of God, so always run to Him. God Bless You!

DAILYPILLS: Heaven On Earth

Anchor Song: Heaven On Earth

Artist: Frank Edwards

Growing up, we had these “special” plates and cups in my house, items that were hidden in a special part of my Mom’s cupboard that none of us would dare go to except there’s a special celebration or something like that. Now, I still see some of those same items when cleaning the house and guess what, there’s nobody interested in using any of those plates for a regular meal because those plates and cups are so out of fashion.
Likewise, I believe there are elements of our salvation that would only be useful here on earth and by the time we get to heaven, you won’t have need of them anymore. So if I may just ask you, what difference is being born again making in your life? Are you satisfied with  just being born again and living a normal life or do you desire a supernatural experience with it.
1 John 3:2 – My loved ones, we have been adopted into God’s family; and we are officially His children now. The full picture of our destiny is not yet clear, but we know this much: when Jesus appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him just as He is[VOICE].
My thought is, if it is certain that we would be like Him when we finally meet Him face to face, then what stops you and I now from being just like Him while He was physically here on earth? You see, when I get to heaven, I don’t want to be like those plates in my house that have never been used because we kept reserving them for a special occasion till their season passed and now they are too old to fit into any occasion.
Remember, there is a time and a season for everything, so what are you supposed to do in this time with the relationship you have with God? I want to get to heaven and know that I do not just look like Jesus, but I also lived like Him. God Bless You!

Anchor Song: Give To The Lord

Artist: Ron Kenoly

I heard two ladies talking about how difficult things have been and one said to the other, “things have not been easy, I gave my first fruit in January”. The other lady said, “what is first fruit again? All these churches will just looking for ways to take people’s money. Sometimes, I don’t even tithe because the church appears to be richer than her members. So why should i give for others to enjoy while i suffer”.
I’m not here to claim any moral high ground, so I won’t be pointing accusing fingers, but that conversation between those ladies shows the mindset with which many of us give in our churches. Hence, the first thing I’d like to say is that any biblical principle you apply that seems to increase your burden must have been done in error. It is either the principle is wrong or your application of that principle is wrong.
Why do we give? While we have it at the back of our minds that when we give, God will cause an abundance to come back to us. Let’s not forget that what we are giving also came from God. It is God that gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. So every act of giving is first a show of appreciation for what God first gave, before it is an investment into the kingdom.
Who do we give to? It is very important to always remember that God is the one we are giving to, even though it is men that collect it. If you want to give, you have to give as unto God and take your eyes off what whoever does with it. Remember, one day each person will stand to give an account of their actions before God.
Finally, Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 9:7 – Each of you should give as you have decided in your heart to give. You should not be sad when you give, and you should not give because you feel forced to give. God loves the person who gives happily[NCV]. The Living Bible[TLB] says “Cheerful givers are the ones God prizes”.
Therefore, is it possible that many acts of giving seems to go unrewarded because the givers gave what they were not happy about? So, I’d advice that whenever you want to give, let it be what your heart can cheerfully release, it might not always be convenient, but your heart is satisfied. There is nothing wrong in giving what you have first, then ask God to provide what you don’t have. After all, He gives seed to the sower… God Bless You!

Hey! How would you like make some extra cash at a fast pace. I’m talking about investing as small as 5,000 to make 20,000 in just 48hrs, and the best part is that multiple investments are allowed. I know what you are thinking, “this is too good to be true”, right? But what if I show you the bank statements for my own investments, would you believe me?
I remember when schemes like MMM got popular, most people knew the offers were too good to be true, but they went along with it hoping the scheme would last forever by some form of magic. Well, I’m sorry if I already struck your investment cords, but the investment I mentioned above is not real, at least I don’t know of anything like that. However, what I really wanted you to see is what it means when we say something is “too good to be true”.
When we talk about the Gospel, I’d like you to know that it’s not just good news, but it actually means news that is too good to be true. Assuming the investment scheme I mentioned above somehow turned out to be true, I’m sure you’d have found a way to invest in it even if it’s with your last cash. Likewise, Jesus came to offer you a life that if you actually understand it, you’d do all you can to jump in.
2 Corinthians 5:21 – He orchestrated this: the Anointed One, who had never experienced sin, became sin for us so that in Him we might embody the very righteousness of God[VOICE].
You see, instead of letting you spend your whole life trying to please God only to still fail, God asked Jesus to pay for all of your sins, give you all of His righteousness, give you the power to live like Jesus would here on earth, and a hope that when it’s all said and done, you can expect a red carpet welcome into heaven, doesn’t that sound too good to be true?
Please note, that nobody would miss heaven because of sin, for those who do, it would be because they didn’t accept this free gift that Jesus is offering. God Bless You!

Anchor Song: Friend Like That

Artist: Hawk Nelson

If the efficiency of Jesus could be limited by the kind of people around Him, please tell me where you got your immunity from negative associations from?
Mark 6:5 says – And because of their unbelief he couldn’t do any mighty miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them[TLB]. The fact that Jesus healed “a few sick people” shows He wanted to heal people, but the crowd had too much unbelief.
As you grow older, one of those things you will need to take more seriously is your association, your #SQUAD. The truth is, everyone changes with time, including you, so you should not always expect the people in your life to remain in alignment. While you were a student and the ultimate goal was graduating with an excellent grade, you might have been best friends with someone who shares a similar vision, but now that you are both making some money, that person might start to display some values that are dangerous to you.
Think about it, Jesus had 12 disciples and I believe He loved them all, but He didn’t take everyone to the Mount of Transfiguration, even at Gethsemane, He took Peter, James and John with Him to pray. Also, you might have had a #GANG built around partying, drinking and the likes, but you can’t remain active in that group if you ever want to stop doing those things.
Therefore, while you love everybody in and around your life, learn to determine the level of their influence. If you are always getting negative vibes from someone, please rearrange the relationship. If there is a close pal that’s always making fun of your vision, even if it’s a joke, you better shift. Some of the most hurtful things are said as jokes. While I can agree that some relationships last forever, only a few, if any should maintain the same level of influence over you. God Bless You!

DAILYPILLS: Always Pray For You by NOSA

Anchor Song: Always Pray For You

Artist: Nosa

Learn not to get angry when people forget to reward you for something good you did, because bitterness will only make you lose the real reward.

Consider the story of the man named Mordecai, who heard about a coup plot against King Ahasuerus and told the king about it, but guess what, Mordecai wasn’t rewarded.
One day, at a time when everyone had forgotten about the matter, something started bothering the King so much that he couldn’t sleep, after making enquiries from his assistants, he discovered he didn’t reward Mordecai. Now, by the time the king was  able to give Mordecai the perfect reward, it was better than anything Mordecai could have gotten initially. [Read Esther 6 for the full gist].
Case 2, Joseph. Just imagine how bad Joseph must have felt when the chief Butler forgot about him when he got out of prison. However, the king had a need one day, a need only Joseph could solve, and the chief Butler remembered.
Think about it, even if the chief Butler didn’t forget about Joseph, he probably would have just gotten him out of prison back into slavery or at best, make him a free poor man. But with that delay came the real deal, a deal that brought Joseph to the throne. Jesus said in Matthew 10:42 – And if, as my representatives, you give even a cup of cold water to a little child, you will surely be rewarded[TLB].
You see, God rewards, even in our human interactions. Hence, when your boss passes you over on a reward/promotion, don’t start saying horrible things about the person, you abort God’s reward process that way, the person might even hear and not be in a position to recommend you to the “king” by the time he needs you. You feel cheated? Pray, ask God to reward you and let it go. You’d be shocked when you get God’s alert. God Bless You!
