Ever since smart phones got popular, the biggest challenge the users of these phones have had to deal with is battery life. I remember how the early users of a particular brand were always looking for an electric socket to plug their phones into, even in public places. And now, even though things have improved, we still cannot say that the challenge has been totally eliminated.
This simply shows how important batteries are. It doesn’t matter how powerful your device is, or what functions it can perform, as soon as the battery is dead, that device is nothing more than a plastic box. However, would you be interested in a smartphone that has the best features possible, and added to that is the ability for the phone to recharge itself? I bet you would, and that is a way to describe what Jesus offers us when we give our lives to Him.
John 7:38 says – For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water shall flow from the inmost being of anyone who believes in me”[TLB].
You see, outside Jesus, life is like that battery that doesn’t last, you need to constantly keep filling up with things and people, most of which doesn’t even satisfy. But with Jesus, life is different, your potentials are limitless and your joy and satisfaction immeasurable, and the best part is that fact all these won’t be dependent on any man, for God Himself has promised to be your one and only source. God Bless You!
