Anchor Song: The Hurt & The Healer
There’s a very important point in the story of prodigal son that must have at the back of our minds, because it gives us an understanding of how God relates with us. Remember that when the boy came to himself and decided to go back to his father, his best hope was not for his father to receive him back as a son, but as servant.
However, his father saw him from afar and ran towards him. At that moment, his father didn’t even know if he was sorry or repentant, but he must have seen that his son wasn’t looking so good, so He ran.
What have you done that makes you think God doesn’t want to see you? What makes you think He has written you off? Have you wasted half of all God owns, which is not even possible because you can’t quantify all God owns. Even if we assume that you waste half of God’s wealth, He says even that would not make Him look the other way when He sees you trying to reach Him.
Romans 8:38 says – And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love[NLT].
God doesn’t, won’t and can’t hate you! Each time you turn to Him, He runs towards you. Even if it seems like you have lost a lot in life due to your own mistakes, God is ready to mend everything that has been wrecked in your life. Bring every broken piece in any area of your life to Jesus, He’s waiting to make a masterpiece out of your mess. God Bless You!
