Increase by Thanksgiving and Praises

Psalm 67:3-7

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

Your increase that is locked up in the earth can be released by your thanksgiving and praises unto God. Seeds that you have sown in the past can germinate and bear fruit because of your praises. Do you know that one of the reasons that Balaam could not curse the children of Israel was because of their praises unto God. In the Good News Bible, Numbers 23:21 says, I foresee that Israel’s future Will bring her no misfortune or trouble. The LORD their God is with them; They proclaim that he is their king. Instead of cursing Israel, Balaam ended up blessing them three different times, Numb.24:10.

You can use praises and thanksgiving to lay hold of the promises of God. Praising God will help you remain in faith in the same way it helped Abraham and it will also cause your faith to produce fruits and results. It will cause the favour of God to rain down upon you and all that concerns you. Thanksgiving and praises go together. Enter God’s presence with thanksgiving and praise and your joy will be full. Praise God for how awesome He is, praise God for what He has done for you and for what you know He is doing for you.

Today God is giving you beauty for ashes, He is clothing you with the garment of praise and He is anointing you with the oil of joy, Isa.61:3. No heaviness will prevail in your life today. God will inhabit your praises with His presence. In His presence you will have fullness of joy and God’s favour. Even natural things will respond favourably to you. Decide to maintain an attitude of praise unto God throughout your life.

PRAYER FOCUS: From the bottom of your heart, meditate on God’s goodness and mercy and thank and praise Him like never before.
