Elephants and Gorillas are some of the strongest animals on land, but they are also commonly used for circuses. Many of those animals used for such entertainment purpose are often captured at a very young age, when they had very little strength to fight back. By the time they grow and develop strength, they don’t fight to escape because in their mind they still see themselves as they were when they were captured.

Likewise, some of us get born again, and then go in to receive the Holy Spirit, but when pressure comes our way, do we remember we now have the Holy Spirit living and active in us?

Romans 12:2 says – Do not be shaped by this world; instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect[NCV]. To be shaped by the world is to continue to respond to stimulus like every other unbeliever would when you carry the Holy Spirit.

Ask yourself these questions: how powerful is the Holy Spirit, what limits does He have? What are His dos and don’ts? Use the answer to these questions to build an expectation of the things you should see happen in your life. You are not the same person you were before you received Jesus, a lot has changed about you, start living the new you – #ChristLife. God Bless You!
