Press Forward

Luke 8:22, Philippians 3:13-14

Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. *Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

There are new heights to attain and you are yet to experience all there is to experience in life and in God. There are greater victories to be won. There are more souls to be reached. There are deeper levels in God and there are greater moves of the Spirit that God wants you to experience. There are more competencies and capacities that you can build into yourself. You can be more impactful and profitable with the abilities that God has given you.

There are more territories that God wants you to occupy till Christ comes. Isaiah 54:2-3 says, enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. Enlarge your vision, keep learning and developing yourself, keep praying and pressing deeper into God, keep ministering and being a blessing to others, keep expanding and occupying territories until Christ comes.

Many times, discouragement and lack of zeal appear just before you are about to experience a new level. Never let even what you think you may have achieved or attained in life or in God keep you from pressing forward. Dissatisfaction with your current level should stir you up for your next level. Like the wife of the prophet in 2Kings 4:1-6, the oil God has given you will not stop overflowing until you tell yourself that there are no more vessels to pour into.

PRAYER FOCUS: Receive grace for new vision and zeal to keep pressing forward.
