Divine Restoration

*2 Kings 6:3-7 (NIV)*

_Then one of them said, “Won’t you please come with your servants?” “I will,” Elisha replied. And he went with them. They went to the Jordan and began to cut down trees. As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water. “Oh, my lord,” he cried out, “it was borrowed!” The man of God asked, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float._
There is something glorious that happened in our text above that God is also going to do in your life. As Elisha divinely knew what to do to bring about hope and restoration in that desperate situation, you also will know what to do in any situation you find yourself in today and from now on. Whether it is for yourself or it is for others, by the Spirit of God that is in you, you have the ability to know the mind ofGod in any situation.
Child of God, do not think that what happened in our text above cannot happen in your life because you are not a ‘prophet of God’. Because of who you are in Christ, you can experience even more than this. In Luke 7:28, Jesus said that the least of us in the kingdom is greater than John the Baptist and every other prophet born before him. Joel 2:28 shows us that by the outpouring of the Spirit we will be able to prophesy.
By the Spirit of God in you, you have the ability to divinely know what is on God’s mind, 1Cor.2:9-12. Jesus said the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth, John 16:13. It is not natural for an axe head to float on water but it is possible by the power of God. Today, by the Spirit of God that is in you, I see God restoring impossible situations in your life. Don’t cry. You will know what to do to experience divine restoration in every area of your life. God will also use you to bring about divine restoration in the lives of others.
*PRAYER FOCUS:*

_Thank God for who He has made you in Christ and for His Spirit and power that is upon your life. Declare in faith that you divinely know what to do to experience divine restoration._
