And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, … hath appeared unto thee.
In Christ, everything about you is empowered. Everything that you possess is also empowered. Resist the temptation to judge what is in your hand as ordinary because God is in the business of using the ordinary to do the extraordinary. The dry stick Moses used to care for his father in law’s sheep in the desert was what God used to bring about mighty miracles, signs and wonders (Exo.4:17) and to deliver Israel from their bondage in Egypt.
No matter how little and dry your qualifications, business, experience, team or resources may be, do not despise them. God can use them to bring about great signs and wonders and to bless the lives of others. If you are ready to surrender what you have to God and allow Him to open your eyes to the power He has placed in what you have, you will be amazed at the mighty things that God will do through the things you possess.
Even when the sticks of the magicians of Pharaoh also turned into serpents, Moses’ serpent swallowed up every other serpent, Exo.7:8-12. This means that Pharaoh’s magicians went home without rods that day; only Moses retained his. The power of God upon everything that you have will cause what you have to dominate and have influence wherever you find yourself today. You will stand out. You will do great and unimaginable things for humanity and for the kingdom of God. Because of God’s power, the things that are impossible for others will be possible for you.
_Thank God for everything that you have and thank Him for His mighty power that is upon them. Surrender all you have to God and ask Him to do mighty things through them._
