And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
In our text above, Peter understood the power he had been graced with and understood how to tap into it. In fact, he personalized that power and it therefore became very real to him. Notice that he didn’t say,’what I saw, or what I read, or what I heard.’ Instead, he referenced his own experience, noting,’such as I have.’ He asked the man to focus on him and John because Peter recognized the dumanis power they were carrying on the inside. Because he had taken possession of that power and because he understood what that power could do, it wasn’t a struggle for him to heal the lame man. You also will not struggle to face situations. You too will manifest God’s power as you take possession and make use of the great power that God has given you in Christ.
God does not want you struggling to do what He has called you to do. In fact, you have not only been called, but have also been blessed, empowered and equipped to do what you have been tasked to do. You may face difficulties and challenges, but because God has empowered you to do it, you will prevail. You will only struggle if you remain ignorant of the fact that God has blessed, empowered and equipped you to successfully overcome what you are going through. But as you remain conscious that God has blessed, empowered and equipped you, it will inevitably affect your countenance. You will have faith and no matter the difficulties and challenges you face, you will be strong and you will stir up the grace and power that God has placed in you to overcome.
_Declare in faith that you know you are empowered, that you are taking possession of the power God has given you and that you are making use of it for God’s glory._
