John 3:16-18: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved.
What we celebrate today is the amazing love that God showed us by sending Jesus down to this earth for the hope, salvation and redemption of mankind. Jesus was born so that mankind can be saved and born into the kingdom and will of God. This is worth celebrating!
Christ was born so that there would continually be celebration on earth and in heaven, as souls get saved and as men and women become free from condemnation, frustration, affliction and bondage of the enemy.
Luke 2:11, 13-14 says, for unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. *And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 15:7 says, I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
It was not when we deserved God’s love that He chose to love us. It was while we were His enemies, Rom.5:8. He did not leave us in our sinful and helpless state under the devil’s dominion. He went all out to redeem us and restore us because of how special His love for us is. For this, Jesus deserves to be celebrated and honoured today and everyday of our lives. I pray that the glory and power of Christ will manifest in your life today in that area where you need it most. I pray for you that your life will constantly be a celebration of the love of God and the saving power of Christ.
Prayer Focus: Celebrate Jesus for coming to show you God’s
great love this season.
