Our Living Hope

Romans 8:24-25, Hebrews 6:11-12: For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
*And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

What you are seeing in God’s Word with your spiritual eyes is more important than what you are seeing in the natural with your physical eyes. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. What are you hoping for? What
promises of God are you believing and holding on to? The resurrection of Christ gives us living hope, 1Pet.1:3. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is operating in our lives, Eph.1:19-20. This means that no situation is beyond recovery and restoration. Our hope is alive and it is sure because it is founded on God’s great love to us, Rom.5:5.
When you have hope, it reflects in your attitude. Someone who is expecting something or expecting someone will live with expectation. That person prepares him or herself for the arrival of that person or thing. Ecclesiastes 9:4 says, for to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. You are joined to Christ and you are living His Life. His hope is your hope. Job 14:7-9 says, for there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant. No matter what may have happened to you in the past, I see your life sprouting again with new life, hope and zeal. I see God doing new things in your life. I see God fulfilling His promises in your life.

Prayer Focus: According to Romans 5: 2, rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Declare that God’s Word will come to pass in your life.
