Fountain of God’s Grace

2Samuel 9:1, 1Peter 4:10 ‘And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake? *As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God’

You are a fountain of God’s grace and a channel of His blessings, not just a container. A container has limited amount of resources but a channel never lacks resources as long as the source to which it is connected maintains its resources. That is how God wants your life to be. You are blessed to be a blessing. As you continue to be a blessing to the lives of others, God will continue to increase His grace and blessings upon your life. Our first text above describes how David went to the house of Saul following the death of Saul and Jonathan and was looking for someone in that family to show kindness to because of the great love and kindness that Jonathan had shown him while alive.

Every day we ought to look out for opportunities to manifest God’s love and grace to others because of the love and grace that He has shown to us in Christ. In 1John 3:16 the Bible says, hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. The grace that we have received from God is supposed to make us graceful unto others. It is supposed to make us act in such a way that will make people want to experience this grace for themselves.

Use your gifts and abilities to put smiles on the faces of others. Pray for others and show them God’s love and favour. Preach the gospel to them and bring them into the wonderful salvation and grace that you are enjoying in God. Touch lives and don’t leave them the same way that you met them.

Prayer Focus: Thank God for making you a channel of His grace and pray that He will use you to be a blessing to many people today. Pray for others right now for God to manifest His grace in their lives.
