God Wants You To Prosper

Deuteronomy 28:12-13 ‘The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them’.

After Jesus finished using Peter’s boat to preach to the crowd that was by the sea, He led Peter into the sea for a big catch of fish, Luke 5:4. Jesus did not just use Peter’s boat and then leave it in the same state in which He found it. Rather, he ensured that the boat became the recipient of a bountiful harvest. Your case will not be different from this. Because you have yielded your life and resources to serve God and to advance the gospel and His will on this earth, God will amaze you with His blessings and His glory.

He is interested in your prosperity and wants you to succeed in every area of your life, Josh.1:8. God does not want us to be greedy and covetous; He wants us to be wealthy and prosperous. He does not want us to worship material things to the extent that we steal, cheat and lie to obtain them like the people of the world do. Rather, He wants us to know that it is His will to grant us wealth and the material things we need. When God said ‘all these things will be added unto you’ (Matt.6:33) and that He will give you the power to gain wealth (Deut.8:18), He was referring to material things and material wealth like the abundance of fish He granted to Peter in Luke chapter 5.

Because God is your Shepherd, you will not lack any good thing, Psa.34:10. You will be the head and not the tail. God will bless and prosper you so much that your blessings and prosperity will cause people to want to serve and know Him. You will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. Your leaves will not wither and whatsoever you do will prosper, Psa.1:3.

Prayer Focus: Thank God for giving you the power to prosper and be in health today. Declare divine fruitfulness and prosperity into every area of your life.

Grace for Dominion…
