Nurture Your Family

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.Genesis 18:19

One of the ways to show that you cherish something is by the way you nurture and nourish that thing. How well are you nurturing and nourishing your family? One of the ways that God preserves godly seed on the earth is through godly families. The devil wants to wipe out the fear of God from the earth. He wants to steal, kill and destroy godly seeds and godly generations, but we already have victory over him. He will not succeed in your family. Every member of your household shall be saved. Do not stop praying for your family until you all get to Heaven. Start praying for your spouse and your children even before you get married and have children. Desire that the life of God be reproduced into the life of every member of your family. Relate well with every member of your family and teach them the ways of God. Live by example and deliberately guide them onto the right path. Your home must reflect the unconditional love of God. Like Joshua, decide that you and your household will serve the Lord, Josh.24:15. Declare that your children will know the LORD. Declare that all your children will be taught by the Lord and great shall be their peace, Isa. 54:13. Be watchful and very accountable with your family. Look out for everyone and do not give up on anyone. Ensure that everyone is coping well. Maintain unity and peace at all times. Cooperate with other members of your family to advance the will of God in your family. Do not give the devil a chance to creep in (Eph.4:27). Instead, accept every member of your family and touch them with God’s love.

Prayer Focus: Commit every member of your household to God. Pray that they will know God and that it will be well with them.
